It's not always just about the fun stuff:

• 8 weeks in NICU... Yes, you could probably expect that the hospital bill would be rather large.  But you see, the Neonatologists (whom we are very thankful for) are very proud of their services.  One doctor visit in NICU, in one day, was listed at HUNDEREDS of dollars, and sometimes the doctor saw Braylin more than once that day. THAT'S only the doctor services.  In the two months that Braylin was in the hospital... let's just say that before insurance adjustments and all....

Well... let's just say we are VERY THANKFUL for insurance and call it "understood".

Bills Bills Bills

• We have a very special lil' DIVA who likes only the finest of formulas. Baby girl has had some trouble with her formula as it has caused some "gut problems" (in the cleanest words possible). So the pediatrician called the GI specialist and they decided to change her formula to what I like to call LIQUID DIAMONDS. The formula has to be special ordered through a home health service. Sit down for this... are you sitting down? The formula costs $75 a can. A CAN. And it only lasts 2 1/2 days. Yes, I'm sweating as I say it also.  But AGAIN, thank goodness for insurance and state laws, because we just found out that we may not have to pay anything. Whew! Otherwise, we may have had to have a carwash fundraiser so that we can feed Braylin only the best.
