8 Months

Happy 8 Months Munchkin!

Dear Braylin,

We are the bestest friends. You are so much fun and so active. You crack me up with your spunky little personality. In fact, at my last doctor appointment you were the center of attention in the waiting room. People just had to get up and come say hello to you. You would look at them, smile, and then squeal the highest pitch little-girl-scream. One lady finally walked from behind the nurses desk and said, "I just had to come see what was making all of the noise... and OH MY GOSH... that little thing is doing all of that squealing?!". One older gentleman bent over and tried to talk to you. He was so sweet and soft spoken (having a hard time bending over) and you smiled your little bashful smile and then let out a huge SCREAM. ha! ha! I had to apologize to the poor man, but of course he thought you were cute as a button. You seem to love to be the center of attention, and you KNOW when you are. Your little face is so full of expression and though you can't say words, your eyes and mouth say it all! Well, I knew this was coming. Now I'm a little scared to think of what we will hear when the jabber becomes actual words. I'm sure they will be the nicest sweetest words ever, won't they now Braylin. :)

You are beginning to try and climb out of my arms to try and get whatever it is that you see. You know how to push things away with your arms (including food and kisses---sad!). You fine motor skills are better and better. You have already started the whole "tantrum throw-back"... you scream, arch the back, and reach for something way behind you. OH NO!

Everyday is an adventure for you especially as your world continues to grow bigger and bigger.
Here are a few of our favorite things (in no particular order):

• we both love to snuggle-up when you take naps (one of your little hands always has to touch me, and you will scoot and scoot until you can reach some part of me)
• you  love bath time and are loving it even more now that you can sit-up in the tub and kick the water
• we love going on quiet walks around our neighborhood
• you love to snuggle your little head into Momma's chest and then push-up on to your feet
• you really like your lovies that have taggies all over--- they are the best things to suck on
• unfortunately... you LOVE sucking on your fingers (hate pacifiers)
• you love to sit in the floor with Momma or Daddy and play with toys
• you get excited to see new faces
• Fibi can always make your face shine and those vocal chords "sing"
• you love outside---trees are extremely exciting!
• you love to look at the pictures of your cousins on the refrigerator-- this is the funnest game right now.
• I love to tickle you and get the cutest little laughs and giggles ever. Best game!
• you love to STAND up and take little tiny steps (while I support you of course)
• when you first wake up and are waiting for your first bottle and medicine, you like to sit in Momma's bed and watch cartoons
• you love when Daddy comes home for work  (talk about the cutest and most lovable smile ever)
• you like to watch Veggie Tales on road trips
• most of all --you love for ALL attention to be on YOU--annnnnnnnnnnd you get it 99.9% of the time.
